it's been a long time since i've touched neocities, and as i find myself returning to this space, i'm reflecting on how much has changed since i last worked on this project. i've been at my new job for a year and a half now, i've started getting my master's degree, i've added a new partner to my life, and everything is overall just going so much better. it's astonishing what nearly a year of time passing can do for you...

i suppose one notable part of that has been going to therapy (& finding a therapist that actually gets it). i found a therapist at a queer-friendly counseling office who has experience with dbt and emdr, and though we haven't gotten into those methodologies yet, it's been great to have someone who can help me through a trauma-focused lens. i'm finally reclaiming my own identity and independence, thanks in large part to my therapist!

it's also been really interesting going back to school with that newfound independence, and finally being able to be productive with schoolwork in a way i was never able to before. i'm really hoping it's not just novelty, but it's already been four weeks of classes and i don't seem to be really losing steam yet. i'm hopeful this passion will continue!

now if only i could keep up with updating this website, we'd really be cooking :p
